You can get an extract of your b/cert with JPN. Bring your IC and go to Bhg. Kelahiran dan Kematian (if I remember correctly) and request for an extract of it. Last time I took an extract, the fee was RM 2.00.It is as original as it can be as the b/cert we got when we were born :)
beautifulgown 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2008 anna, you are not alone ah :P I lost mine few years ago .. ok .. let me try to remember ya.if i'm not mistaken, need to go to police station to get a report and bring the report to the department to get a 'new' birth cert. Please correct me if I'm wrong .. I paid RM10 for the 'new' cert. By the way, I'm from Kuching :) but I think all should have the same system, right? :P

anna belle 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2008 beautiful gownyes, it is JPN = Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara (NRD- National Registration Department) where they have all the birth records and of course, the deaths.

frisian 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2013 Hello, I know this is quite an old thread. But just wonder if the extract of the birth certificate has English on it? I need it for visa purposes. Thank you!
