I see you found your MUA for your AD le... I havent found one oh... MY AD is on 15.11.09 but my wedding reception at SIbu is on 18.11.09. Wonder if your MUA do makeup and hairdone only for the evening? You try her makeup before? I really scared those heavy big makeup, natural is the best.

Nv try b4, just look at their photo. Their makeup look natural. The MUA is nice to talk to. They charge RM180 - 200 for makeup & hair do per session. Additional RM100 for transportation charges to your place. RM60 for others makeup & hair do. U may contact the MUA by ur own - Krystal Wong (084-334197).

So I look for Kelvin. You used his service? He's not good?? I check aound . His design is up-to-dated... compares to the rest. But anyone of you got recommendation?

I am very satisfied with the VG because of it's creativity in creating the most important day of my life into a video.....but somehow it is more expensive than Sibu Rajang video centre because it came from Kuala Lumpur. The cost is about RM1500 compare to rajang video centre around RM900. Comparing to other sibu video centre i see, Sibu VG is common and low quality.... KL VG name is Joe 0143386306. WORTH CALLING!

already hear few cases to complaint Kelvin because no keep his promise to client. I'm no engage him so i dun know how truth is it. Normally it really tired to plan or prepare our wedding outstation.

Luckily our parent allow us to have simple wedding ceremony & dinner or else i dun want to have any wedding ceremony even once in lifetime. :p

I use lily's florist behind the fire station...coz it is the cheapest around the town but still provide everything that other florist provide....but make sure u ask the tauke to write down everything in black and white even the tiniest things.....coz the florist on AD didn't provide a candle stand and when i ask him after the wedding, he say that i din have a black and white note.....so ASK HIM TO WRITE EVERYTHING DOWN!

My wedding in Kingwood....the food is okla.... but somehow i am dissppointed at the place becasue my dinner place is at the ming ziang court..and not at the ballroom....so with the BIG PILLAR everywhere at the ming ziang court, it somehoe block the view of some table lo....

I am having my wedding dinner reception in Sibu in end of december.

My actual day is held in kl at the mid of dec cos my fiancee is from thr.

Now thinking of vendors over here.

I've called Krystal Wong d/t the high recommendation i came across and she sounds easygoing over the phone!

And I found out that she has 5 yrs experience and previously worked as MUA under Ivory Romance in KL.

I asked her for any online reference but she said she didnt work on those things.

So Can whoever who has her as ur MUA pm me ur pics as reference?

I'll be goin for make up trial on 8thMay.

MUA here is reli so cheap compared to KL's!

Her quote for me is:

1 Bridal make up +Hairdo (Dinner only)=RM180

5 Family Members (RM30Hairdo+RM30Makeup) - RM5 discount each person=RM275

Coming to my house=Add on RM100

Total RM555 !

My AD in KL for myself alone already more exp than this figure...

Tats why i am so keen to look at her piece of work first.

I am initially dealing with the Sibu Parkson Lancome product specialist tianling for makeup and kevin from golden hill for hairdo cos i am familiar with their work and trust them, and do for my sis's wedding last year oso.

But becos my day falls on christmas nite here.. so not possible for them to come to my house. And no matter wat to merge hairdo and MUA is definitely cheaper. So hopefully i can get a good alternative.

I havent found any VG yet, cos Rejang one reli cannot take it.. and my VG in KL cant come in T T~

Still sorting this out. But my KL PG is coming in and he's my fiancee's best fren so it'll be great!

For decor i am engaging Jackie Inspiration's balloon work.

Any comment with them?

Kelvin is my fren's fren and even my fren commented that he charged too expensive and he does that even to their own frens.

And i looked thru a lot of pics which wedding decor is done by him among frens and frens of frens in facebook and i realised those are basically repetitions only.

But those arrangement can tell it's his work, cos no new ideas. Same thing for all clients.

And I do heard that he copy ppl's ideas.

Cos it's half the size of family over here so we decided to take a small venue--at sheraton. So guess there's not much room for major decor, so save on that ~

Now, how is the standards for those vendors in Sibu for the wedding? Which has the best quality? Besides Rejang Park VG, who else can have a better quality? How about the dinner venue? How are Tanahmas Hotel and "Bing Ya" Restaurant? Which one is better for the wedding dinner (considered the packages they offered)? How about the Bridal Shop? Which store has more quality bridal gown (Sibu & Kuching)? I am oversea, so it is very hard for me to have chance to go back to Sibu to search one by one. I will be back on Oct or Nov, but I would like to have a booking for all of these and when I go back, I can stop by their places to discuss the detailed information. Can anyone provide me more information please? Thank you!

m using Tanahmas Hotel for my wedding dinner. Satisfy with their service, the only complaint is something wrong with their PA system @ mic on my wedding day la. Personally m prefer Tanahmas than “Bing Yan” because dun wat to share the venue with other couple especially if u wedding day is hot day. However, I think Bing Yan can get a better price than Tanahmas la. m even go to Bing Yan for few wedding lunch & wedding dinner, they share the venue with other couple. So the guests will compare the couple’s look, couple’s gown, menu & bla bla bla thing lo. After all, it really depends on what u want.

Actually, I already left Sibu@Malaysia for more than 9 years, so it is a hard time for me to catch up with all the information. And, I am the first one getting marry in my family, so none of my family members have any experiences about the preparation...it is really a headache for me...I am happy that I found this web site here, so I can get some suggestions....How is TanahMas hotel's food? My mom told me that their food is not really good if compared to Bin Ya Restaurant....But, TanahMas hotel has lots of offer for the packages...Do you think Tanahmas will be too small for holding 40 tables? How about the conference room in Tanahmas for holding the party..is it deep enough for the wedding march (like Bin Ya)? Because I am not going to church, then I am thinking to have a simple ceremony during the dinner time....How about your VG and PG? Who you hire for that?

I understand the problem of sharing the party together with others...that is terrible if they do the comparison...Thanks for sharing your experiences.

(minimum 18 tables) B4 u confirms with Tanahmas, u can request to go to the ballroom to have a look first. c whether it up to ur expectation or not. Another reason I dun like "Bin Yan" is it inside shopping center>> I malu to wear the WG or EG to walk inside the shopping center even they provide lift there.

Abt bridal gown, “Xin Yuan” & “Xin Niang” hv lot of nice bridal gowns. But I dun like their (both BS) make up. As mentioned b4, a lot of ppl complaint on “Xin Yuan” customer service.

I check with Simmy Tan in Sibu, she has a reasonable price, but how about her skills? Any comments about it? ShenSnaps from Kuching even email his price quote to me too, but that is too expensive...I cannot go back to Sibu that often, that's why the only thing I can get is asking for experiences and comments and check it out..I will be back to Sibu on October or November for 2 1/2 weeks only...seriously, I prefer to have natural make up too...I like your make up..the make up is light and natural....pretty cool and natural....Did you rent your BG from Hollywood BS in Kuching, then have a MUA in Sibu, right? How they charge you for the gown renting?

Samuel is ur school mates ah, he is my cousin. He married with 1 BB girl now.

My PG is freelance. It good if Simmy become ur PG on AD. I like her skill very much, unfortunately she got job on my AD, or else m really want her as my PG on AD. Honestly, her skill is much better than my freelance PG. Lot ppl wanna get Simmy as their AD’s PG. I would recommend u use her as ur PG on AD. u will not regret 1.

FYI, I not getting any VG service for my wedding day even my sister insist that we hv to get 1.

Abt my bridal gown ah, my have my pre-wedding PS with Hollywood Kuching, it already include in their package. So, I dun know how much they charge on bridal gown. I bring 1 WG & 1 EG from Hollywood Kuching & get a MUA service from Mee Huat Bridal Co, Sibu on my AD. m satisfy with her natural make up. However, u must allocate about 2 hour per session for ur make up & hair do.

Dun go to Wishing Star for make up. Really cut throat. And the customer service sucks. And I did roughly browse through their collection of gowns, which I think is quite nice. But I want to emphasize - As long as you dun sign up any photoshooting package with Wishing Star, they will charge the make up price + gown rental at a much hiked up price. That's what they told me when I asked y their make up charges is so damn expensive
