Bao B, The worst part...my son not scare punishment..he won't scare cane, not scare beat beat...he seems like not understand what i tell...everytime before i finsihed explain and finsihed my sentence...he use his hand smash my specs away....got few times i let him gik until i really real mad...then i yell at him...slap his buttock....yes he cry out very loud...and scream like very scare....but i feel very heartache for hurting him also...i also cry and keep apologize back to him...and guess what...without 2 second..he stop crying and start climbing from the high chair again.... he always jump from high chair he seems like dun scare everything or get himself hurts...i really dun know how to educate him...he is 17-18th month now... I try to repeat and repeat to him cannot do like that...wait for mommy carry..but he seems he understand just that he dun want follow...he so young already know how to tricks me or treathen me...he will purposely stand up from high chair and dance...once he see me take the cane..he will sit down...but once i turn around he will do again..and he laugh...gosh...u ask me how to handle ???how how how???? any parents have this kind of experience?

As many ppl mentioned, letting baby or toddler drinks Enfa series milk will cause them smarter but at the same time will cause them super active and energetic. This is what happen to my son. My son is a very active boy( 1 year plus toddler), he likes to explore around and discover things. He can learn very fast and mimic our behaviors and action. However i start to realise that is very hard for me to teach him nor to tame him sit still while eating and etc... He will just moving around and exploring stuff in the house. I don't mind being tired for keep chasing him...but i start to worry when we bring him out...it is very hard for us to control him as well...he would not let us hold his hand if we let him walk. Also if we put him in stroller/car seat / baby chair, he will stand and try to jump off from stroller. I start to wondering if the current nanny nvr control him nor teach him thats why he is getting rebellion and wild...or this is his original born attitute.... I'm actually trying to look for new nanny due do the current nanny giving me alot of problems too...and i start to think should i choose nanny which is more strict? There is a nanny which my neighbour introduce to me...and compliment this nanny is very good in taming child. I went to the nanny house and did an interview with her...no doubt the child she taking care is very discipline ....from what she say..the way she tame then is thru beating their legs with newspaper and putting the toddler in play pen for isolated session ..... after listen to it...i feel uncomfortable to send my son to her.... I'm very confuse now and having conflict in my heart...should i continue to let my son having his happily exploring around behaviour to continue...or should i sent him to someone is strict which could make him discipline... Hi Diana, Our status now is married,but not staying/keep in touch with each other. U can read my story on frust marriage in MB. I've went to marrriage tribunal and his turn will be next week,but, i'm not sure whether he is going or not. After complete the marriage tribunal steps, i will file for divorces. B4 this, we have negotiates our agreement thru our lawyer and he did not replied my last letter where as i did not ask for any maintenance for myself nor my baby, juz want to divorces. Before this, he refused to pay maintenance for me which i agree, then, when i asked maintenance for bb, he too refused and ask if i give the custody to him, he will not asked a single cents from me. I think that since he is not able to provide my bb maintenance, how can he raise up our bb? For this 6 months, he not even call/sms me to concern about the baby nor give any maintenance to bb. I alone wt the help and support from my family raise up my bb without single cents from him. I don't know what he is up to, whether he is agree to sign or go for trial. If he opt for trial, then he might end up to give monthly maintenance to my bb and have to pay a huge amount of legal fees. If he agree to sign, then we go our separate way and he can save his legal fees to remarried. I've gave him a very good options but he want to make both life difficult. Thanks GOD that my family and frens,even his collegue is giving me a great help and support. Thanks a lots for my parents and siblings for making my baby a happy and healthy baby. No different either she have father or not, coz i'm the father and mother to her and will always be by her side. She's my first priority. about the wearing shoes part, i also dun know why, i been asking MIL, and nanny and my own mom. All of them only said cannot wear, pantang lar..very furious when i said wanna let my son wear..:S ...ask them why, they nvr want to answer me...gosh makes me scare also...so i just follow the rules...my hubby also very supertitious. so i just bear with them until my son is 1 year old. Perhaps if there are any other forummer can share with us the reason why. About big birthday celebration, i heard some say, they take their son birth date go and pray and ask 'god' if can celebrate or not...if nope then wont be celebrate lor...some say is okay. but so far normally ppl only do big celebration for fullmoon. Infact i wanted to have a party for my son too...just that noone available to attend, end up i just cancelled it and celebrate within my in law family. sigh~~~ lucky my son still young too realise it..or else sure he very disapointed.

My son first chinese birthday, my MIL cooked him mee sua, chicken, red egg.....even he can't eat meat yet. We just let him lick the chicken as part of the ceremony. Other than that, we need to bring our son pray to ancestors. Then like what you mentioned, put few things on the table let him choose, for e.g calculator, money, books, rulers, paint brush, music toys and etc. They said which one he pick up first then that will be his future professional .... Although personally i'm not supertitious, but i do follow all these traditional ceremony just for the sake of my son and my in laws.Since it is no harm, and i recorded down the session is a funny session which i can show my son in future. The most weird part and session, is my in law mentioned baby can only officially wear shoes when they are 1 year old in chinese calendar. Therefore that the day we helped our son wear his first pair of shoe, and my in law put my son leg step on the red egg...after that requested us as parents eat the egg.... :S adoi~~~~ i got no choice...but just close my eyes and eat it lor... Weird ar? I don't know what it means....but i just follow what my in law said lor...just for 1 day!

Moonmoon, I guess you should stop reading the articles about PCOS..me too...i been stop looking and digging the info about PCOS..coz the more i read it the more i scare, depress and phobia..so i just slowly let it go and dun want think of it once after my menses return. I realise the more u worry and depress the more difficult you conceive. I would suggest you try natural way, my sister intro me to drink fresh royal jelly and manuka honey. She said by drink this, could help to balance my hormon and finally my menses really return. Perhaps you can try to drink it too and eat EPO to balance your hormon. PCOS mainly is cause by imbalance hormon...therefore by using natural way to balance back our hormon, perhaps it could help. Also, i believe the more frequent you have sex will also increase the posibility to conceive. However don't give yourself stress..just let it be relax and natural...i'm saying this is becoz i think becoz my first pregnancy i did not know anything about my PCOS..therefore i have no stress and able to conceive naturally. So i hope you could put down your worry and try in relax mood.. Happy TTC and hope to hear your good news in near future.

Moonmoon, i was only diagnosed had PCOS after i gave birth to my son 5 month later (becoz my menses did not return after confinement). the funny thing is gynae and me nvr realise nor knew i'm PCOS during my whole pregnancy. So i could said...chances to conceive still there....as long as your menses came means chances to conceive is there.... Doc just said....i might having difficulties to conceive again....and he said...I'm blessed by god that i had deliver my son under "don't know i have PCOS" condition....many ppl also told me that i should be grateful that i already blessed to have a son. So i hope....i do give you some positive encouragement.... Although i don't know will i conceive again...but...i will keep myself positive...

Congratulations Sunshine! Both you and baby is really very brave and strong. Wish the clock will turn faster so that your baby will go home with you soon. Take a good care and rest more.

Some of the suggestions that I can think of 1. You can put baby on the baby high chair or the playpen in the kitchen when you are doing cooking or cleaning up 2. Talk/sing to baby to make sure he/she can feel that there is some one around 3. Make sure baby can see you so that wont feel frightened If you are trying to prepare foods/milk, you can try to talk/sing to baby or showing what you are doing to distract his or her attention. Either that you can give some toys as well. That is some of the things I do and most of the time it really works for me. Besides that dont worry, parenting is a fun task. Worries only makes you more tension. Have fun! Hope it helps. Hi, As job request, my hubby will always need to be away and leave me and my 8th month old baby alone, sometimes overnight. I'm paranoid mom and wife...sometimes really feel is very hard for me to cope. Anyone here also always home alone with your baby? how do you actually cope with this kind of situation? How do you handle your baby when you need to prepare foods, milk or etc while your baby climbing around? Kindly share your experience and tips.

I'm originally using Avent bottle...and i bot 2 NUby BPA free bottle @rm17.90 at jusco for my son...however he doesn't seems like the bottle and he refuse to drink milk with nuby bottle... :( end up i still using AVent now sigh...hopefully avent will launch BPA free bottle at kl soon.

I think you vomitted becoz your tummy is bloating, drinking too much milo and only liquid and bread will cause bloating. I always suffer gastric so I'll vomit if i ate nothing but drinking too much milo. Try to eat more healthy since you are pregnant now, stock up some food at home, like biscuit, oats, spaggetti, things which you can easily cook by yourself. If really no appetite try to boil some soup like ABC soup and eat with some rice. I can only eat soup with rice during my first 3 month pregnancy coz losing appetite. In regards whether the milo contains melamine....i'm not sure, but for sure even if you accidently consume melamine, it won't give u any side effect immediately. melamine will cause kidney failure if long term consume and in a big amount. So if you don't feel comfortable just don't drink it and eat others nutrition food. Take care well

No worry, u just don't stay in 1 position so long, if you working sitting, once a while get up and go washroom or etc...then u will feel not so pain. i always scold my baby in my stomach say he is "deng sam cham" (poke my heart) hahhaha...and now come out really notti...

Yup. I experienced it during my pregnancy. I thought is gastric but then after seeing doc, he said the same thing like your gynae. No worry, what you need to do is sit straight upwards. Coz if you sit bent down, baby not enough space, they will strench for more space which also will cause you pain. Put a cushion to support your backbone behind.

I'm very anger over DL (dutch lady) as they swear and claimed their milk are safe to consume even though they havent really received the official approval from health ministry. I heard from mandarin news that a person who had consume melamine should drink at least 1.5 liter to flush it away from the body! but then how can a infant drank that much? I brought the Fisher Price Rocker Chair for my son when he is 4th month old...but somehow he could not sit in the rocker chair more than 1 hour. He will get bored after some time and the start screaming for us to carry him. And now we only put him in the rocker chair when we feed him.

Did your gynae did a transvaginal scan on you to verify that you have pco(polycystic ovarian) ? My gynae nvr request me to do any blood test and i do not have menses at all so maybe there is a reason he can't do blood test on me as well. My gynae just told me...if i'm not keen to have a baby, then i can take contraceptive pills to make my menses come regulary and to balance my hormon. And when i want to have baby, then he ask me stop contraceptive pills and he will give me another type of hormon pill for me to conceive. :( I personally hates to take pills as i believe all drug do have side effects..and why do i want to makes my body like machine. When don't want baby then eat this when want baby then eat that. But last few week i was having very serious menstrual pain and it affected my emotion, and yet my menses did not occur. So i have return to the gynae and he prescribes me 30 hormon pills and wants to me to finsihed it within 5 days. He say after 5 days is i should get my menses, and it is true my menses came after 5 days i finsihed the pills. However after i read more info about this, the menses i have by taking is pill is actually consider artificial menses, where it only help to shed off my uterus lining and make it come out as menses. somehow i do not ovulating at all, this mean i do not produce egg at all. For normal menses, it actually occur when the woman ovary release an egg and when no pregnancy occur, they egg will come out as menses every month. but for my case, i just do not product any egg... The doc insist me to go back see him and start prescribes me contraceptive pills. But i did not go back, i really unwilling to eat pills if not neccessary. So i'll just wait another few months and see if my menses will come back as normal or not. Doc say worst case scenario will need to do ovary drilling operation which is costly around 6-8k. :( and after the ovary drilling, you might be better for 6 months only. PCOS will strike back after that. Until this moment, i'm still feel "negative" of the fact i got pcos now.

Hi, I was recently being diagnosed as polycystic ovarian (PCOS) and my menstrual being terminated for few months. I went to see gynae and the only advice for now is prescribed me contraceptive pills which i really do not wish to take it. This have been affected my mood and i was like totally losing hope. Anyone here can tell me more info about this or share your experience if you do know what is PCOS.
